What Will This Cost?
Every matter and every client is different. It’s impossible to answer many of your initial questions, including what’s going to happen, how long it will take, and how much it will cost, without first sitting down to discuss your case, your needs, and your circumstances.

At times, the client just wants to enquire about a straight-forward process (for example, incorporating an LLC or some other administrative registration with the Dominican government); and wishes to learn details such as costs and legal fees,

For these reasons, we generally offer a free 15-minute initial consultation for most practice areas.
What We Discuss
An initial consultation is a great opportunity for you to evaluate us, and it also allows us to better understand and evaluate your legal matter, to see if it is something we can help you with.

During an initial consultation, time is mostly spent on what the client wishes to accomplish and on questions asked, primarily, by the attorney to the client.

We may discuss our firm’s billing policy, as well as the potential expenses and fees for your matter.
We may discuss timeframes, potential deadlines, and what it takes to move forward. We may also discuss the terms of our standard engagement letter, and how you can engage our services.
We cannot provide legal advice during an initial consultation. Occasionally we are able to explain aspects of the law, but we cannot answer your legal questions or provide you with legal advice during a complimentary consultation. We may only provide legal advice and service to our clients who have a signed engagement letter and fee advance in place.

In-Depth Consultation. Legal Advice
The purpose of a paid consultation is for the client to be better informed to decide to move forward or to change course of action
We understand that sometimes clients may wish to ask more questions than a short consultation allows for. We also provide clients with the option to book an appointment with an experienced attorney for a paid consultation.

In a paid consultation, clients are not subjected to a 15 minutes time limit to ask questions to a legal professional. An attorney may discuss with the client aspects of the law pertaining to the client's specific case and to provide legal advice. We may discuss a variety of potential outcomes or possible strategies.
The purpose of a paid consultation is for the client to be better informed to decide to move forward or to change course of action, to leave with a clearer picture of what can be expected from a legal point of view, and to give a better understanding of the options available to the client.
We are committed to our clients' satisfaction. We also have a policy in place that allows for follow-up consultations. If, after the paid consultation, the client wishes to clarify or to follow up with some additional questions about what was discussed in the paid consultation, our attorneys make themselves available for the following 5 days to provide further assistance without additional cost.
